Based In California: Help Planting Trees at Local School The Tree People will be at our campus helping us plant trees and we need as many volunteers as possible. We would love to have you. Friday March 13th, 8am-12pm TREE PLANTING DAY.

Based In DC:Department of Parks and Recreation
Created in 2005, the Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) Office of Partnerships and Development seeks to foster support for DPR through donations, grants, establishing innovative public and private partnerships, and volunteer service by individuals, groups, and organizations.

Based In Los Angeles:
Friends Of The Los Angeles River start planning now! Save the date for our 20th Annual CleanUp on Saturday, MAY 9th, 2009, 9am-noon.


Based In Michigan:
Go Green as you Spring Clean! The YWCA is looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help for the day and/or coordinate our spring event. It is a great way to help your environment and community! We will be setting up stations that teach people ways to recycle, reuse, re-furbish, and reduce!

Based In New York:
K.I.D.S. provides hope to children in need by distributing new clothes, shoes, toys, books and baby gear throughout the country and abroad.

Based In Texas: Basura Bash 15th Annual San Antonio River Clean Up. Volunteers will clean the main river and 13 other tributary locations. Usually over 2000 people participate, but there are many new locations this year, so check basurabash.org to identify where you want to work. All volunteers get lunch and a T-shirt or tote bag.This event takes place in the flood plain, so in the very unlikely case of heavy rain, we will cancel the clean up.

Based In Virginia: Volunteers For Change ‘Volunteers For Change’ is a Non-partisan grassroots activist group, promoting volunteer service projects focused on the Reston/Herndon community. The next VFC meeting will explore local implications of national policy issues related to the Economy, Environment, Homelessness, and other areas of concern to our participants.
